He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cecil Ray Smiley and Mary Burr Smiley; his wife Michele; his sister Rose Zakarian (Joe); and his children, Nanette Smiley Cronk (Tony), Nelson Smiley (Julie), Nathan Smiley (Laura) and Jessica Smiley Bischoff (Davina). He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren.
