He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Astell and Kathryn Astell (Etnire); and his siblings, David, John and Carolyn.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred M. Landsdown; his children, Pam Taylor (Tom) and David Astell (Teresa); his grandchildren, Luke Taylor (Jess), Katie Davis (Brandon), Evanne Astell, Elijah Astell (Morgan) and Ellie Stamm (Josh); his great grandchildren, Storey Taylor, Hayven Taylor, Harloe Taylor and Piper Stamm; and his brother Rich Astell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made in Clair's name to the Alzheimer's Association or Salt Fork School District.
