He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Butts and Alice Butts (Gholson); his spouse Loree A. Thomas; and his brother Alan Butts. He is survived by: his sister Denise Pickett (Kenny) of Tilton Illinois; and his daughters, Dana Fanning (Mark Jr) of Fredericksburg, Desiree and Kayla Jumps of Urbana Illinois. He is also survived by three grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
