He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sarah Dean Carey and Jessie Carey; his wife Johnnie Young-Carey; his children, Shannon Carey, David Kevin Carey (Tonya) and Amre Pataki (Shane); and his siblings, Gladys Davis (Roosevelt) and Kevin Carey (Kory). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
