It is with sadness that the passing of Dewey A. Howard (Danville, Illinois) is shared. Dewey, born on August 18, 1950, passed away on October 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his grandson Lawson Howard. He is survived by: his children, Amie Thompson (John), Lisa Barnes (Kenny), Matthew Howard (Kathy) and Josh Howard (Jenna); his grandchildren, Kaleb (Taylor), Kayla (Corey), Chelsey, Dakota, Shelby, Amiyah, Kaydence (Nathaniel), Madelyn and Landon; his great grandchildren, Adelaide, Jessie, Nolan and Jaxon; his sisters, Glory Nibbe (Bob) and Connie Baker; his sisters-in-law, Cindy Wake (Arnie) and Jeanne Franklin; his close friends, Warren Craythorne (Janene) and Mohammad Al Azem (Dima Raiahi); and his pet Zeus.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the The Chapel (8833 Mitchell Blvd, Trinity, FL 34655). Visitation will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home (3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61834).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Vermilion County Animal Shelter.
