He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Clifford, Charlotte Cotten, Howard and Viola Rodgers; and his father Stephen Cotten.

He is survived by: his mother Linda Rodgers; his daughter Brittany Rodgers; his granddaughter Aidryanna Parsons; and his siblings, Stephen Cotten II (Kim), Jason Cotten (Sharon) and Tammy Cotten (Kyle Borst). He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mt. Hope Cemetery (11 S Stringtown Rd, Covington, IN 47932).
