He is survived by: his close friend Karen Wodetzki; his nephews, James M. Covert and Newel Young, Jr. (Paulette Guiliani Young); his niece Cathy Carter Thomason; and his stepdaughters, Deborah Amata, Denise Amata and Diana Browning.
Memorial donations may be made in his honor to St. Paul's Catholic Church or the War Museum.
