He is survived by: his wife Janice Richards; his sons, Jeff James (Jessica) and Brian James (Tammey); his stepchildren, Paul Richards (Amanda), Russell Richards (Amanda) and Benjamin Richards (Sheena); his grandchildren, Emilee, Jessica (Derek), Xavier, Alaina, Seth and Allison; his stepgrandchildren, Jensen, Easten, Owen, Danica, Emily, Callan, Hannah and Payton; his great grandchildren, Trace, Eli, Jude, Angelina and Natalia; his siblings-in-law, George (Marty), Dave (Rosie), Bev (John) and Sally; his pet Sadie; Sherry Mascari, George Lane, Jeff and Lynn Palmer.
Memorial donations may be made in Gary's name to Vermilion Heights Christian Church – Angel Tree or Illiana Antique Automobile Club.
