She is survived by: her former spouse Patton; her siblings, Janice Sanford, James White (Jody), Rachel Cunningham (Carlos) and Timmie Sanford (Martha); her stepsiblings, Glenda Withers, Druscilla Hayes (Larry), Robert Wilson (Rose), Tywon Gouard (David), Tissia Henderson (Charles) and Prentice Wilson; her niece Shani Petty; her son Victor Newsom; and her stepchildren, Tonya Payton, Aderion Patton and Jacquline Patton Alfred.
