He was predeceased by: his mother Jackie Lewis (Miller); and his grandchildren, Alex Hess, Skylar Hess and Jamie Hess. He is survived by: his father Donald Lewis; his wife Betty D. Smith; his children, Brock Lewis (Marie) and Courtney Hess (Matt); his grandchildren, Vivian Lewis, Lydia Lewis, Zeke Lewis, Eliza Lewis and Riley Hess; his sisters, Connie McCloud (George) and Brenda Stockdale (Kevin); and his siblings-in-law, Becky Carden (Rick), Bo Smith (DD) and Mike Smith (Janel).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Greg's name to Trinity Lutheran Church, Bismarck Men's Club, or Amyloidosis Foundation.
