He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Blakeney and Ruby Blakeney (Nier); his wife Geraldine "Gerry" Davis; and his brother Dean Blakeney. He is survived by: his children, Brian King (Julie) of Dandridge, TN and Cindy Burton (Scott) of Danville; his grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Caleb King, Tyler Burton (Felicia), Cody Burton (Sarah) and Megan Mattingly (Payton); and his great grandchildren, Paislee of Beau, KJ, Grady, Adley, Brody and Logan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center (3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61834). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials in his name may be made to Sandusky Cemetery.
