The passing of Irene R. Spicer of Danville, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on June 8, 2025 at the age of 89. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Kagels and Mammie Kagels (Christensen); her husband Otto H. Spicer; her daughter Sue Spicer; and her brothers, Larry, Donnie, Robert, Jerry and Clifford Kagels.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Spicer (Angela) of Cobden, IL and Crystal Simmons (Jesse) of Danville; and her grandson Zack Simmons. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center (3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61834). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials in her name may be made to Grape Creek Baptist Church.
