He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan Hafner and Mary Hafner (Hufford); and his brother Carl Hafner. He is survived by: his wife Rita Ann Piatt; his children, Lonnie Hafner (Maryann) of Danville and Trisha Burton (Chris) of Mansfield; his grandchildren, Daylan Navarro (David) of Catlin and Devin Burton of Mansfield; his great grandchildren, Zander Navarro and Madigan Navarro; and his sisters, Irene Phebus of Sarasota, FL and Lee Hill of Lake Placid, FL..

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jack's name to the Vermilion County Animal Shelter.
