She was predeceased by: her husband Elden "Van" R. Van De; and her stepsister Ela Mae Goladay. She is survived by: her children, Mary Jean Shadwick of Mattoon, Kurt Johnson (LuAn) of Westville, Julie Kinnonen of Florida, Sam Johnson of Danville, Sigma Williams of Tilton and Fred Van De Walker of Potomac. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center (3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61834). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials in her name may be made to the Heritage Health Activities Department or the C-Wing Memory Care Unit.
