He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Murdock and Sharon Murdock (Wyer); his brother Kenneth Murdock; his nephew Clay Thompson; and his great-niece Ella Thompson.

He is survived by: his wife Sheila Murdock (Huber); his daughters, Lindsee Decker (Jordan) of Danville and Valerie Cosat (Gary) of Westville; his stepson Chad Rossiter (Lisa) of Villa Grove; his sister Paula Thompson (Larry) of Georgetown; and his daughter-in-law Tash Rossiter of Lodi, Indiana.. He is also survived by nine beautiful grandchildren and three great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center (414 S State St, Westville, IL 61883). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center's Urbas Chapel (414 S State St, Westville, IL 61883).
