He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Erwin and Faith Erwin (Cole); his wife Judy Cundiff (Winkler); his sister Helen; his son Jerry Erwin Jr.; and his siblings, Denny Erwin and Marian Lumsargis.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Erwin, Jeff Erwin, Timothy Erwin (Shea), James Erwin (Teresa), Holly Dittmar (Ben) and Stephanie Johnson (Jason); his grandchildren, Nathan, Trenton, Connor, Brooke, Joseph and Karlee; and his siblings, Marlyn Parrish (Raymond), Lona Reed and Carla Wade (Tony). He is also survived by twelve other grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.
