The family announces the passing of John Rollins of Danville, Illinois on September 23, 2026. John, born on May 23, 1955, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Renard Rollins and Verna Rollins; and his friend Mark Lete. He is survived by: his daughters, Peggy Edwards and Brandi Shaffer (Robert); and his grandchildren, Andrew Edwards (Tessa Pavolka), Theo Edwards, Caesar Edwards, Tyler Shaffer (Bre), Alex Sloan (Kandice) and Brody Shaffer (Mercede). He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and countless friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center (414 S State St, Westville, IL 61883). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with the purchase of a headstone.
