She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Oren Lawson and Juanita Lawson (Chambers); her sons, Douglas (Susan Mathews) of Champaign, Illinois, Jeffery Hance (Maria Sixtos) of Hallettsville, Texas and Brian Hance of Oak Park, Illinois; her grandson Jeremy Hance (Jacque Besaw); her children, Kristina Hance-Wasson (Chris Wasson), Jennifer Hance-Pollard (Joe Pollard), Brandi Hance-Valencia (Jorge Valencia), Morgan Hance, Matthew Hance (Sarah Davis) and Amanda Hance; her brother Gerald Lawson; and her brother-in-law Mark Hance (Donna Jett). She was also cherished by her Gran; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
