He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Clifford, Hilda Qualey, Betty Gay (Jack) and Truman Curry; his granddaughter Ameriyana; his uncles, Dean Benson, Clark, Ron, Greg and Jeff Curry; and his aunt Patty Qualey.

He is survived by: his children, Brittany Curry (Stephen Johnson), Michael Curry III and Jesse Curry; his grandchildren, Stormy, Haiven, Rylan, Brantley, Miles, Greyston and Ellynor; his siblings, Tom Lomax (Suzanne), Melissa Curry and Sean Curry; his aunts and uncles, Kathy Qualey, Barbara Schull (Mike), Marlene Benson, Tony Curry and Bruce Curry (Debbie); his close friend Hollis Taylor; Harley. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
