Though Nora may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nora touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Spangler and Vernnia Spangler; and her husband Robert Ray Rice. She is survived by: her foster son Alvin Johnson of Rantoul, IL.; her cousins, Vickey Juras and Patty McGehee; and her friends, Diana and Vern McDaniels.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center (3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61834). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois (3940 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61834).
