He is survived by: his wife Janyce Y. Shaw; his children, Phillip L. Shaw Jr. (Sherri), Joda Potts (Don) and Monique Dandridge; his grandchildren, Janese Potts (Johnathan Sorter), Phillip Shaw III (Yolonda), Don Potts, Candace Potts, Ryan Shaw and Jovon Shaw; and his great grandchildren, Layla Potts of Phillip Shaw, IV, Jurnee Shorter, Jonathan Shorter, Yariah Shaw, Justyce Shorter and Don Potts III.
