Thomas F. Waddell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas F. Waddell of Danville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter-in-law Judith Laird; his wife Judith Waddell; his son Thomas Waddell; his stepson Doug Cottrill; his siblings, Chuck Waddell, Phyllis Szilagyi, James "Butch" Waddell, Sue Cannon and Jackie Waddell; and his great grandchild Lucien Miller Englert.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Split (Dave), Gaylynn Gabbard (Ben) of Tilton, IL and Tanya Miller (Duane) of Georgetown, IL; his stepchildren, Jeffrey, Patrick Beagle (Gayla) of Fairfax Station, VA and Leisa Nimrick (Tom) of Richmond, KY; his grandchildren, Valerie Split, Daniel Split, Michael Swank, David Gabbard, Mathiew Woodard, Larry Woodard, Courtney Miller, Tom Waddell, Cori McGhee, Michelle Waddell, Jessica Waddell, Amanda Long (Amy), Colton Abbott, Dawson Abbott, Ryan Beagle, Nathan Beagle, Ryan Moore and Bethany Cottrill; his sister Margie Waddell; and his son-in-law Ben. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Thomas' memory to St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
