He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Taylor and Jessie Lou Ivey; his brothers, Jerry Taylor, Hessie Taylor and James Taylor; and his grandchild Ja'Kobe LaShawn Taylor.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Taylor; his children, Yolanda Jackson, Nekisha Wilson, Cedrick Wilson and Willie R. Taylor Jr.; his siblings, Jessie Taylor, Leroy Taylor, Micheal Taylor, Minnie Taylor and Shirley; his brother-in-law Micheal Roberson; his children, Joshua Moore and Tamara Jimson; his sister-in-law Terry Caldwell; and his close friends, Robert Rouse and Allen Haskins.

Willie Roy Taylor Sr. passed this life April 2, 2022 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign IL.
