He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Schiappa and Italia DeCrescentiis; his son Jimmy; his sister Giulia Schiappa; his uncle Ferdinando Schiappa, MD; and his aunt Anita Schiappa.
He is survived by: his children, Tony, Jessica, Julie (Luca Lenzi) and Lauren (Daniel Gilroy); his wife Maria, MD; his son Antonio; his grandchildren, Marcello, Sophia, Matteo, Italia and Lucia; his brother Ippolito Schiappa, MD (late Rosanna Pantano); and his cousins, Fred Schiappa and Julie Everett (Richard Everett) of Jeffrey Schiappa, DO. He is also survived by his family, particularly his children who cherished their Dad.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 9:45 AM at the Modell Funeral Home (7710 S Cass Ave, Darien, IL 60561). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Peace Church (701 Plainfield Rd, Darien, IL 60561).
