Stephan leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Stephan’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Stephan will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Junger and Leona Junger (Schultz); and his siblings, Betty O'Malley (Tom) and Carl Junger (Donna). He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, Joshua (Shelby) and Jacob; and his siblings, Frederick Junger (Lynn), Michael Junger (Christine) and Margaret Shappell (Tony). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
A procession will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Peace Church (701 Plainfield Rd, Darien, IL 60561). Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Modell Funeral Home (7710 S Cass Ave, Darien, IL 60561). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 9:15 AM at the same location.
