He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoyte Ward and Gertrude Ward (Grab); his former wife Jackie Ward (Barr); his brother Richard Ward (Jane); and his niece Kathy Ward Wilde.
He is survived by: his wife Vyonne Vehmeier (Foss); his daughters, Julie Aguirre and Kim Hylton (Butch); his stepsons, Mike Vehmeier (Sandy) and Steve Vehmeier; his grandchildren, Brianne Hamilton, Brandon Hylton (Paula), Bret Hylton (Megan) and Joanna Brocato; his stepgrandchildren, Alisia Neubeck (Andrew Musolf), Isaac Vehmeier (Emily), Ashley Vehmeier (Jason Paholski) and Andrew Vehmeier; his great grandchildren, Calvin, Juliana, Grace, Hope, Clark, Cassie, Austin, Ayden and Addie; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Jax, Ryan and Emmit.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home (115 S West St, Dakota, IL 61018). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.
