She was predeceased by: her father James Edler; and her in-laws, Harold and Ilene Gallagher. She is survived by: her mother Joyce Edler (Meighan); her husband Mark Gallagher; her sons, Chris Gallagher (Larissa) and Shaun Gallagher (Anne); her grandchildren, Savanna, Charlotte, Tristan, Liam, Cassandra, Violet and Hazel; and her siblings, Jerry (Becky), Stuart, Brad, Paul, Tom, Beth Schubert and Deanna Grant. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Mary's name.
