She was predeceased by : her parents, David Barnes and Patricia Barnes (Moon). She is survived by : her husband Thomas J. Steele; her children, Whitney Miller (Jeff) of Atlanta, GA and Jay Stankiewicz of Eden Prairie, MN; her sisters, Margo Barnes of Tucson, AZ and Barb Getty of Zionsville, IN; her grandchildren, Zachary McMiller (Rochelle) of Madison, WI, Hannah Jones (Charles) of Atlanta, GA and Emerson Stankiewicz; and her great grandchild Evergreen McMiller.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the McCorkle Funeral Home- Pecatonica Chapel (203 W 5th St, Pecatonica, IL 61063). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the American Legion (403 Main St, Pecatonica, IL 61063).

Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to Wounded Warriors, Shriners Hospital, St. Jude or the charity of your choice.
