He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Reed and Marjorie Reed; his wife Sally Elaine Gale; his in-laws, Howard and Maurine Gale; and his siblings, Richard L. Reed and Marjorie Niesman.
He is survived by: his children, Carla Bridges (Tim) of Scottsdale, AZ, Sue Szymanski (Curt) of Durand, IL and Rick Reed (Sara) of Orangeville, IL; his brother-in-law Wayne Gate (Martha) of Winnebago, IL; his grandchildren, Paige Bridges (Tanner Harker), James Bridges (Rachel), Jacob Szymanski (Jessica), Elise Szymanski, Abigail, Zachary and Mitchell Isely; and his great grandchildren, Nathan, Carter Bridges, Cayden Szymanski and Cam Harker.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home (115 S West St, Dakota, IL 61018).
A memorial fund has been established for SSM Health Hospice.
