She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Barron and Margarett Barron (McBride); and her husband Herbert L. Carter. She is survived by: her sons, Danny Carter (Susan) of Riverton, Paul Carter (Barbara) of Riverton and Jeff Carter (Angela) of Chatham; and her grandchildren, Aaron Carter, Chris Carter (Kady), Ashley Dyas (Aaron) and Austin Carter (Rachel). She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Eastview Baptist Church (2277 E Black Ave, Springfield, IL 62702). A burial will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Camp Butler National Cemetery (5063 Camp Butler Rd, Springfield, IL 62707).
