He was predeceased by: his parents, Nels Elias Nelson and Lillian Mae Nelson (Neibuhr); his son David; and his siblings, Charles Nelson, Homer Nelson, Garth Nelson, Norman Nelson and Ardis Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Sue Brunscheen; and his daughters, Angie True (William) of Vancouver, WA, Paula Nelson of Dallas, TX and Krisi House (T. J.) of Rocky Mount, N. C.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
