He is survived by: his children, Alica Townsend of Decatur, IL and Tyler Townsend (Teresa) of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Cameron and Christian Townsend; his nephew Andrew Townsend (Amber) of Fort Myers, FL; and his niece Marcy Townsend (Oscar Oboza) of Minneapolis, MN..
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Calvert & Wikoff North Chapel (4020 N Water St, Decatur, IL 62526).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County.
