He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" Kerwin of Decatur, IL; his children, Elizabeth Vogt (Brian) of Petersburg, IL and Brandon Kerwin (Jasmyne) of Green Bay, WI; his grandchildren, Evelyn Vogt and Daniel Kerwin; his brother David Murray Kerwin (Jan) of Springfield, IL; his stepsister Lorna Spencer (Darren) of Broken Arrow, OK; his nieces and nephews, Charlie Kerwin (Kimberly) of Rochester, IL, Sean Kerwin (Emily) of Peoria, IL, Danny Kerwin (Ashlee Franken) of Peoria, IL, Anne Nation (Nick) of Springfield, IL, Callie Spencer of Tulsa, OK and Clarke Spencer of Tulsa, OK; and his close friends, Chris Clifton, Rick Davis, Randy Bishop, Sue Adkins and Mike Goode.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Chuck's honor be made to the Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County.
