He is survived by: his brother Curt Shafer of Decatur; his children, Abby (Kaley Lohse) of Decatur, Colin Fair of Decatur and Matthew Fair of Decatur; his granddaughter Victoria Fair of Decatur; and the mother of his children Janet Fair of Decatur. He is also survived by aunts, nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
