It is with sadness that the passing of Dennis Gipson of Decatur, Illinois is shared. Dennis, born on November 2, 1947, passed away on July 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Gipson and Geraldine Gipson (Baker); his daughter Amy Beth Gipson; and his sisters, Pat and Cheryl.

He is survived by: his wife Diana Patterson; his children, Ina Whipple (Dan), Dennis Gipson, Jr. (Kat), Kevin Gipson (Shannon), Scotty Saulsbury and Jody Saulsbury; his grandchildren, Christian, Abigail (Josh), Savannah "Carrot Top", Rhiannon and Jerrica "Pumpkin"; his great grandchildren, Memphis "Miami" and Rhett "Duke"; and his siblings, Robert (Sharon), Joyce, Donna and Paula.

Memorials in Dennis' honor may be made to Toys for Tots or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
