It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Rueff (Decatur, Illinois), born in Jacksonville, Illinois, who passed away on May 6, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Dorothy is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Dorothy's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by: her former husband Lawrence Rueff; her daughter Darla Ann; and her parents, Elmer E. Crabtree and Ruth Eledith Crabtree. She is survived by: her children, Larry Alan Rueff (Christine) of Appleton and Debra Packin (Robert) of San Clemente; and her husband Barton Stone. She is also survived by three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
