He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. Holt and Bonnie Holt (Howell); and his brother Dan Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Sharon West of Decatur; his sister-in-law Ruth Ellis of Mt. Zion; and his close friends, Mark Miller, Walter Garner Jr. and Sammy Mason.
