It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Floyd Scranton of Decatur, Illinois, born in Rockport, Illinois, who passed away on March 6, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Eacle Scranton and Anna Scranton; his siblings, Monroe Scranton and Helen Collard; his daughter Lois Chervinko; his son-in-law Mark Richert; and his great grandchild Klay Richert.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel Johns; his daughter Cathy Richert; his son-in-law Michael Chervinko; his grandchildren, Tara Metully (Matt) and Keagan Richert (Destinee); his great grandchildren, Gavin Metully, Brylee Richert, Mason Metully, Elsie Richert and Myles Richert; and his brother Delbert Scranton (Janet Sue). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
