We announce the death of Gary Alan Eichel (Decatur, Illinois), who passed away on June 21, 2026, at the age of 71. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Eichel and Mildred Eichel; his sisters, Lori Eichel and Carol Mattson; his brother-in-law Thomas Tanzyus; and his friend Dan Heckman.
He is survived by: his sister Sandy Tanzyus; his brother-in-law Bill Mattson; his nephews, Todd Mattson, Stacy Blake (Nicole Mattson), Lesley Winkler (Natalie Baeten) and Keith Tanzyus; and his angel Gee. He is also survived by eleven great nieces and nephews.
