He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Bray and Sadie Bray (McCoy); his stepfather Lawrence Kirk; and his brother Glenn Bray. He is survived by: his wife Alice Walker of Decatur; his children, Gary Bray (Darlene) of Flower Mound, TX and Gloria Moss (Bill) of Mt. Zion; his granddaughters, Bethanie Platt (Chip), Caroline Bubulka (Bryan) and Kristine Moss; and his great grandchildren, Huck Platt, Vaeda Platt and Eloise Bubulka.

Memorials may be made in his memory to the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church.
