He is survived by: his former wife Carol Voorhees; his wife Virginia "Gini" Casey-Maines; his children, Rexlyn Nicole (Jay) of Decatur, Mary Frances "Murphy" Vorndam (Rodney) of Texas, James Thomas Maines (Sue) of Georgia and Heather Raver (David) of Iowa; his grandchildren, Laurie, Susie, John and Loren; and his friends, Patty Davis, Eileen Marshall, Bill, June Moutray and Bob Walters. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, forty great‑grandchildren, and one great‑great‑grandchild.
