With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gregory Childers in Decatur, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on February 18, 2026 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joanne Childers (Hankins) and John Childers. He is survived by: his children, Oscar Childers, Jovie Childers, Arlo Childers, Samuel, Nathan, Hannah and Jaxon Rueb; his siblings, Susan Heberling (Greg) of Decatur and Scott Childers (Sandy) of Bloomington; his wife Audrey Childers; and his son Greg. He is also survived by three nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Audrey Childers to help support his children during this time of transition.
