He is survived by: his children, James Adkins, Jr. (Debe) of Decatur, Thomas Adkins (Trish) of Cowden and Debra Riley (Greg) of St. Francisville, LA; and his close friend Sharon Bowles. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
