He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Bird and Wilma Bird; his grandparents, Robert and Flossie Waters (Nobel); his sisters, Kristine Robertson and Kathy Farmer; and his uncles, Robert E. Waters and Norman Waters.
He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Bird; his children, Delbert McGee, James A. Bird Jr., Ashley Bird, Elizabeth (Chad Crank) and Ellen Bird; and his siblings, Robert Bird, Darrell Howerton and Brenda Campbell. He is also survived by his loving wife, children, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
