James Robert Goetz Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Robert Goetz of Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Robert Goetz to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his sisters, Margaret Bell and Dorothy Bowmaster. He is survived by: his children, James Goetz Jr. (Carol) of Decatur, Larry Goetz of Harristown, Annette Goetz (Rick Blankenship) of Mt. Zion and Cherie Glasscock (Kevin) of Columbia, IL; his sister Phyllis Ward (Russell); and his grandchildren, Megan Goetz, Larry W. Goetz Jr., Adam Goetz, Robert Goetz, Kaylee Hearn and Jillian Blankenship. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM and at 2:00 PM. A burial will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at the Graceland Cemetery (2091 N Oakland Ave, Decatur, IL 62526).
