It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James S Merry of Decatur, Illinois, who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Merry and Agnes Merry; his daughter Jody Etnire; and his sister Doris Beanblossom. He is survived by : his wife Marilyn Merry; his son Kevin Merry (Joan); his grandchildren, Ashley England (Dale), Lance Merry, Aaron Luy (Kisha) and Kyle Merry (Dakota); his great grandchildren, Jolee and Ryker; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Shaedon and Estin.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 2450 S Franklin Street Rd, Decatur, IL 62521. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery.
