She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Hamilton and Margaret Hamilton (Metz); her brother David Hamilton; and her brother-in-law Steve Ward. She is survived by: her husband Michael Smith of Decatur, IL; and her siblings, Dennis Hamilton (Chris) of Maroa, IL, Martha Ward of Iowa City, IA and Carol Woodward (David) of Pontiac, IL. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Calvert & Wikoff North Chapel (4020 N Water St, Decatur, IL 62526).
She enjoyed charity work with children, especially Prairieland ABATE's Christmas in October.
