He was predeceased by: his father Roy C. Mears; and his aunt Joyce Logue. He is survived by: his mother Marilyn Arlene Mears (Logue) of Decatur; his children, Rachel Mears of Springfield, Brandi Mears of Springfield and Erin Mears of Springfield; and his sister Angela Mears. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Moran & Goebel Funeral Home (2801 N Monroe St, Decatur, IL 62526). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
