She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Angell and Rachel Angell (Drake); and her husband Norman F. Scranton. She is survived by: her sons, Mark Scranton (Amy) of Mt. Zion and Norman L. Scranton (Pam Brown) of Decatur; her grandchildren, Nathaniel "Nathan" Scranton (Elizabeth) of Decatur, Heather Yowell (Brian) of Decatur, Sarah Connor (Zac) of Bloomington, IL, Melanie Scranton (Jeffery Salerno) of Astoria, NY and Vanessa Scranton of Decatur; and her great grandchildren, Drake Scranton, Savana Yowell and Cillian Connor.

Memorials may be made in her memory to Antioch Christian Church or the Decatur Dementia Friendly Chapter.
