He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Brousil and Marie Brousil; and his brother Donald Brousil. He is survived by: his wife Polly Ann Traylor; his children, Laura Nice (Larry), Nick Brousil and Steve Brousil; his grandchildren, Brandon Nice (Kate) and Brittany Rickey (Mike); and his brother Joseph Brousil.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ken's honour to the Wounded Warriors Project pr Decatur Humane Society.
